Penn State University's Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity (CSGD) celebrates and supports Penn State students of all sexual and gender identities. We provide resources, education, and community-building opportunities that foster belonging, empowerment, and pride.

As a student marketer and graphic designer since Summer 2024, I've had the privilege to spearhead, collaborate on, and design materials for countless meaningful events, resources, and communities. My time working for the CSGD has been a defining part of my college experience, and I'm always looking for the chance to integrate advocacy and community-building into my design practice.

A huge shout out to my supervisor for allowing me to explore what motion design could bring to the CSGD!
One of the more in depth motion design projects I completed was the Student Emergency Fund informational video. I wrote all of the copy, animated all of the visuals/text, sourced and implemented CC0 music/sound effects, and even did the voice over (yes, that is my voice!). Check out the video below!

AWARENESS DAYs
In order to maintain engagement on our socials throughout the year, the marketing team is tasked with consistently creating evergreen content. This can include awareness days, educational posts, or general photographs.
Late Nights & DISCUSSION SPACES
Select promotional collateral for the CSGD’s Late Nights, student-led evening events designed and hosted by programming staff, and Discussion Spaces, recurring discussions meant to provide students with a safe space to explore their identities, interests, and perspectives.
Pride Pantry
The CSGD's Pride Pantry is a resource to all students experiencing food insecurity. We also stock personal care and hygiene items!
I was put in charge of the rebrand from "Lion's Pantry", designing a logo, signage, and social templates.

My goal as the lead graphic designer and marketer for this project was to create a playful color scheme and shape language that subtly references track visuals.

Lavender Recognition
Lavender Recognition is an annual ceremony celebrating sexual and gender diverse graduating students and their allies, honoring their achievements, leadership, and contributions to the Penn State community.
My goal as lead graphic designer and marketer was to create a new ceremonial logo, promotional collateral, and signage, the primary reference being wedding invitations.

CELEBRATE PRIDE CAMPAIGN - HUB TAKEOVER RECAP
The Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity's Pride Hub Takeover is an annual event that takes place in the HUB-Robeson Center of University Park.
It's a day of community, celebration, and connection featuring tabling from student organizations, campus offices, and partners, plus fun activities happening throughout the day, including a live drag show!
I was in charge of photographing the event and creating evergreen content to promote future events and celebrate it's success.
Queer Peers Stickers
Queer Peers is a supportive program for first-year, transfer, and change-of-campus LGBTQ+ students. It offers social events, educational programming, and peer connections to help students build networks and access campus resources.
I was tasked with creating stickers to further incentivize students to participate in Queer Peers activities, and chose the space theme!
Each sticker takes the color scheme from a pride flag, and were created from scratch in Illustrator.
